I help parks, nature centers, and historic sites communicate the significance of their special places. Together, we identify overarching themes, storylines, and media to forge emotional and intellectual connections with identified audiences. My experience in program delivery and planning combine with studies in adult education (EdM) to support these services.
I collaborate with other planning and design professionals to help managers of protected areas with an array of planning and design services. My professional experience with National Park Service, The Nature Conservancy, Maine Audubon, and Maine Coast Heritage Trust informs this work.
Allagash Interpretive Plan and Heritage Resource Assessment
In 2018 I completed an interpretive plan for the Allagash Wilderness Waterway, working as principal consultant with an interdisciplinary team. The plan is accompanied by an assessment of heritage resources within this state-managed unit of the Wild and Scenic River System.
